Emma is now on week two of school and she hasn't even gone. She had strep throat last week and Friday she got stung by a red wasp. I was in the emergency room all night last night. Honestly. From 7pm till 3am. Her whole Left arm from the shoulder to her finger tips were swelled to the point that it looked like it would burst. She didn't have a pulse in it and her fingers from the knuckles down here yellow then white. There was no Oxygen getting to them and they had gone numb. I know it had been 48hrs since she was stung but in a matter of Dana leaving with the kids to go home, swelled that big. Sure she was swelled some but nothing like it was. Anyways, she has cellulitous. They gave her a shot of Steroids and Benadryil, and took blood for cultures and white blood cell count. Within 5 minutes her hand had decreased in size enough for her to start getting blood in the tips of her fingers but the Doctor wanted to make sure that he could get a pulse and things before he'd let us leave. He almost kept her and did surgery. Thank GOD he didn't have to do that. I was sooooo worried. But he sent her home on steroids and benadryil and an antibiotic for the infection. He doesn't want her to go to school until Thursday...only if all the swelling is gone. My child could have lost her arm last night!!!

The school called today and was like, "You said she'd be back by friday! And its Monday, why isn't she here? I have to report you to the school board and social services over this." I was so pissed. I explained everything to her and told her that it wasn't my fault or Emma's. She can't help that she got sick, any more than she can help that she got stung! The principal was like, "Well she isn't enrolled in our system because she didn't come the first day." And I said, "Then you have no business reporting me to the school board and social services if she isn't even enrolled. And besides that I have Doctor excuses for every day that she has missed. I feel terrible that she hasn't been able to come but my hands are tied. She was contagious and wouldn't have been allowed in the school. And I'm telling you I don't run to the ER over anything. The child just about had to have surgery last night on her arm. There isn't anything I can do to get her back in school any faster. And I'll try to send her Wednesday even though the ER Doctor told me absolutely not, because she could get a secondary infection because its really easy where her arm had no circulation and she has open sores from were it's draining and was stung." She then had the gull to say, "Well when you do finally bring her in, make sure you ask for me." GRRRRRrrr I hate this new fucking school. It's the same school system but a new school. She moved to the upper since she's in 2nd grade.

Well it's time for more medicine and I need a chill pill so I'll write more later. Oh and I'm on book 22 of 50. I might make it this year. Hahaha.
